GotSoccer had the privilege to visit the headquarters of the The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) in Zurich, Switzerland for a meeting with the international governing body earlier this month.
Founded in 1904 to oversee the international competition between just eight nations – Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland – FIFA’s membership has now expanded to 211 national associations, who are also all members of one of the six regional confederations into which the world is divided: Africa, Asia, Europe, North & Central America and the Caribbean, Oceania and South America.
“It was a very proud day to take GotSoccer to FIFA”, said GotSoccer CEO, Gavin Owen-Thomas. “Just like a young soccer player, we started in recreational youth soccer and have slowly progressed and taken all the lessons and knowledge we learned there to help us move up the soccer ladder”
“We have travelled a lot internationally in the last year and met with a lot of National Federations, but to visit FIFA really is the pinnacle for any football organization”
GotSoccer currently has clients in the USA, Canada, Costa Rica, England, Honduras, Poland, Romania, Scotland, South Africa, and Wales, and hopes to add more soon
