GotSoccer congratulates their clients, Ekstraklasa and the Scottish Premier Football League (SPFL) on their teams’ qualification to the UEFA Champions League.
Ekstraklasa champions Legia Warsaw beat Slovakian champions AC Trenčín 1-0 in the second round of qualification, before triumphing 3-1 over Irish Champions Dundalk in the third round to become the first Polish side to qualify for the Champions League since 1996. The Ekstraklasa champions will now meet reigning european champions Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund & Sporting Lisbon in Group F.
SPFL champions Glasgow Celtic beat Gibraltar Champions Lincoln Red Imps FC 3-1 in the second round of qualification and Israeli champions Hapoel Beer Sheva 5-4 in the third round to reach the group stage for the first time since 2013. The Hoops, who celebrate their 50th anniversary of becoming the first British club to win the European Cup, face a tough draw with Barcelona, Manchester City & Borussia Monchengladbach all in Group B.
